Bubba’s 33 will open Monday, April 18 at 4 p.m. Bubba’s serves casual fare such as pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, and salads and has a full bar. The restaurant will begin serving lunch on Monday, June 20.

The Henderson Professional Firefighters Honor Guard will be cooking whole grilled chickens on Wednesday, April 13. Pickup is at the Denton Shelter on Elm Street in Atkinson Park from 3-7 p.m. Chickens are $10 each. Funds will be used to help families of deceased firefighters, honor guard training, equipment and uniforms. Buy chickens here or at Fire Station 1 at 332 Washington St., Henderson, Kentucky.

Kabob Xpress will be open at special hours during the month of Ramadan, which lasts until Monday, May 2. The restaurant will be closed Sunday and Monday and open normal hours from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. The menu offers Mediterranean specialties such as hummus and stuffed grape leaves, falafel, kebabs, shawarma, fresh naan bread and more.
