You can bet I’ll be the first in line at these locations.
Is there anything better on this earth than a fries? I’m serious. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Salty with just the right amount of fat. They are delicious when dipped in ketchup or when I love barbecue or ranch sauce. Personally, I like the ones that are just a little soggy, but I will never discriminate when it comes to fries.
They are perfect.
Do not believe me ? Okay. The next time you take your drive-thru order, see if you can make it home before you put your hand in the bag and shovel those delicious salty sticks in your mouth. It is almost impossible.
I have to close the bag and put it in the back seat if these guys have any hope of getting home.
And if you love French fries like I did, then the ultimate vacation is just around the corner. Tuesday July 13 is National Fry Day. Scarf ’em, dip’ em, smother ’em in chili or cheese or both. This is a vacation I’m really going to do everything for.
Are you?

Maybe you like to make your fries at home.
I’ve never mastered this myself, but I know you can make delicious options in your own kitchen. I’ve been told that the biggest secret is to make sure your potatoes are dry before you put them in the deep fryer.
If you bake them, make sure your oven is warm before you throw them away. And don’t use aluminum foil. Whenever I have used foil, the potatoes tend to steam rather than become crisp.
And then there is Guy Fieri’s method of making fries. His method is to soak the fries in water first. Dry them. And then fry your fries twice.
That’s a big deal at Food Network, so maybe he knows what he’s doing …
And now I’m hungry … Excuse me while I place my order in the Colorado Room.
