Hungry visitors can sample an array of different flavors this weekend, as the annual food festival returns to the city.
Feast Hinckley returns to Argents Mead, with stalls featuring Mediterranean fare, grill and Dutch cuisine, pancakes and coffee, ice cream and churros, and even treats for four-legged friends.
The free summer event had to be canceled last year due to coronavirus restrictions.

Live bands will provide music throughout the weekend and a giant 120ft inflatable assault course will be available for children (minimum age five) and older children, at just 50p each way, as well. as free hoop lessons.
There will also be makeup and a walker on stilts.
John Coward, Assistant Downtown Manager, said: “After the disappointment that we had to cancel this event last year and so many other events, we are looking forward to welcoming people again.
“We have been careful to leave more space between the stands for this year and there will be a lot of hand sanitizer on offer and of course we urge anyone not feeling well with the symptoms of Covid to stay up to date. house to make the event as safe as possible. .
“It has been really tough this year, but we hope this event will bring back some much needed normalcy and encourage people to visit and shop in our city. We can’t wait to see everyone.

Large pagoda capitals will be set up in the mead with additional picnic benches.
The event takes place on Saturday and Sunday August 7 and 8, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Parking lots should be occupied, so visitors are encouraged to walk or use public transport if possible.
The nearest car parks are Church Walk, St Mary’s Road, the leisure center or the Castle car parks.
Parking is free in the municipal car parks on Sundays.
