Chelsea Groton Bank provides free secure document shredding services on Saturday, October 2, 9 am to noon at the Sprague Public Library, 76 Main Street, Baltic; and Saturday, October 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Mystic & Noank Library, 40 Library St., Mystic. The Eastern CT Chamber of Commerce will join UCFS Health and Waterford Public Schools at the inauguration of their School Health Centers at Clark Lane Middle School on October 12 from 8:15 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.

HONOR

Charter Oak Federal Credit Union received the United Way of Southeastern Connecticut Community Partner of the Year award for their continued financial support and community involvement in programs and services to help those in need. Charter Oak was honored last month with the annual award at United Way’s community celebration event held at the Mohegan Sun. Charter Oak’s activities include collecting school supplies for students and distributing hygiene kits to local schools, sponsoring mobile pantry distributions, providing turkeys and holiday food at Gemma E. Moran. United Way / Labor Food Center on Thanksgiving, the Matching Gifts Funding Award from Charter Oak and its members to support United Way activities and run a United Way workplace giving campaign over the past year. Ninety-nine restaurant and pub raised $ 400,000 at this year’s Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Jimmy Fund’s Xvideos Red"}” data-sheets-userformat=”{"2":513,"3":{"1":0},"12":0}”>Xvideos Red annual fundraiser, thanks to donations from guests of all Ninety Nine restaurants. Ninety-nine restaurants have raised more than $ 5.8 million in the past 16 years, with 100% of the proceeds going to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund.
