1. Trattoria Zaza

2. The Rougaroux
Le Rougaroux serves Cajun classics in a cozy restaurant. You can enjoy classic New Orleans dishes amid the fanfare of Saints decorating their walls. Rougaroux serves traditional po’boys, specialty po’boys and a daily selection of okra. Call to discover their gumbo of the day.

3.brick and tin
brick & tin is a favorite spot for fresh foods, pastries and drinks. They serve elegant dishes with local and sustainable ingredients. Their two soups are mushroom and butternut squash.

4. Cafe East 59
East 59 is a cute cafe with vintage vibes. You may remember them from East Lake, but they now operate at the Lee Branch Mall in Hoover. East 59 offers a selection of coffees, teas, sandwiches, salads and a daily selection of soups. Call for their soup of the day.

5. Urban cuisine
Urban Cookhouse got its start at Homewood and has grown into the chain they are today. They offer fresh farm produce with quick service. The Urban Cookhouse serves sandwiches, wraps, salads and soups. They normally have a cream of broccoli soup and a seasonal soup.

6. Pho Pho
Pho, a Vietnamese rice noodle soup, is a labor of love. Most recipes should be prepared 14 hours in advance. Luckily, Vietnamese Pho Pho does this job for you, so all you have to do is enjoy it. Pho Pho offers beef, chicken, seafood or vegetarian phos.
