KANSAS CITY — Spicy flavors heat up seasonal menus.
Cracker Barrel Old Country Store has unveiled its fall menu, featuring Kick’n Ranch Fried Chicken, with Buttermilk Ranch Seasoning and Buffalo Ranch Sauce, served with a side of pickle ranch for dipping.
Romano’s Macaroni Grill offers Buffalo Chicken Parmesan in three menu selections. The Buffalo Chicken Parmesan dish features crispy chicken parmesan, gorgonzola alfredo capellini with a spicy lemon butter sauce, celery and Calabrian peppers. The Buffalo Chicken Parmesan Sandwich features crispy Parmesan chicken, blue cheese crumbles, celery, buffalo and ranch sauce served on a ciabatta bun with Parmesan truffle fries. Buffalo Chicken Mac and Cheese Buffalo has crispy parmesan chicken, blue cheese crumbs, celery, buffalo sauce and ranch over macaroni and cheese.
“As we usher in the fall season, many are looking for new ways to bring the warmth of summer into those otherwise chilly fall days,” said Holly Wagstaff-Bellomo, director of marketing at Dividend Restaurant Group. “With our new Buffalo flavor-infused menu offerings, customers can expect to warm up their palettes while enjoying a unique twist on a few of the classics. Macaroni Grill is the perfect place to start fall.
Chipotle Mexican Grill is testing chicken al pastor in select markets. The protein option has the flavors of spicy adobo, achiote, morita peppers, pineapple, chipotle, and lime juice.
“We created Chicken Al Pastor to feed our fans who were craving spicy Chipotle chicken,” said Chris Brandt, Chief Marketing Officer. “The new menu item cleverly combines fire with flavor in a uniquely Chipotle way.”
