One of the most anticipated Henderson restaurant debuts of the year now has an exact location. Sommelier, chef and restaurateur Bank Atcharawan plans to open a branch of his restaurant Spring Mountain Road, Lamaii, by relocating to St. Rose Parkway. Named Lamaii Modern Eatery on rental documents, the Thai restaurant located on Eater 38 will occupy the 2,800 square foot 150 suite at Gardner Plaza Shopping Center, adjacent to Padrino’s Latin Bar & Grill and a short walk from BurgerFi and similar sized restaurant for Scrambled breakfast and brunch.
Already promised, a 750 square foot outdoor patio facing the promenade, plus Atcharawan will apply his sommelier skills to curate an affordable new wine list. While initially announcing a winter opening, the Lamaii website set up a clock counting down to Sunday, November 7 and teasing, “something exciting is coming soon.”
Atcharawan’s other business, The Patio Desserts & Drinks on Decatur Boulevard, remains temporarily closed while it is transformed into a garden-themed wine bar. Originally planned to be called Patio Wine Garden, permits have recently been filed to install new signage, a common indicator that a project is about to be completed.
