With an alcohol license granted by the Select Board last month, the owners of Thai restaurant Four Spoons in Newton are preparing to open a branch in Needham.
On June 22, co-owner Apriak Chuenprapa revealed his intention to open Little Spoon at 952 Great Plain Ave in Needham Center when he appeared before the board of directors and received permission to serve beer and wine. on the spot.

According to a copy of the plans submitted to the city, the Little Spoon menu will derive its traditional Thai offerings primarily from Four Spoons cuisine; but with more variety in its selection of noodle dishes.

Four Spoons opened at 796 Beacon St. in Newton in 2015. The comfortable and bright space includes a full bar with a menu offering a range of Thai noodle and curry dishes; and iconic dishes like the popular Mango Crispy Chicken – breaded chicken served in a special mild chili sauce with mango, onion and sweet pepper.

The plans show that the restaurant ownership group signed a ten-year agreement in October 2019 to lease space on Great Plain Avenue.
Located next to Sweet Basil, the address once housed a UPS store, but will feature a full-service bar and dining room built to accommodate 60 customers once renovations are complete.
