Check out the new on-site Chinese restaurant at Ellesmere Port

A RESTAURANT has finally opened as a catering service in Little Sutton, Ellesmere Port.

Tony Mok and his wife Jasmine Yu opened their new Chinese restaurant Ateyate (pronounced 88) yesterday (Thursday October 20).

Speaking to the Globe, Jasmine said: “It’s fusion, Asian cuisine. We have been selling takeout for a few months, but are now a restaurant with a full liquor license.

“We also have a gluten-free menu.”

Tony has over 15 years experience in the restaurant industry.

Jasmine added, “There are no good Chinese restaurants here, so we decided to open our own.”

For opening night, Jasmine and Tony set up balloons and bought props for their customers to take pictures and post on social media.

Ateyate serves soups, noodle boxes, curries and popular dishes such as salt and pepper chicken, dumplings and crispy duck.
