There are two types of people in this world: those who believe that a salad can be a meal and those who don’t. (Obviously, there are also humans who don’t even think about salads in general.)
If you like salads, chances are you will often ask yourself, “Where the hell do I get a good salad for lunch / dinner / etc?” Well, soon there will be a new place in town to try. (There are also these top 3 Best Of Cincinnati salad winners.)
Green District, a Louisville-based fast food chain, is a make-it-yourself salad (and wrap) concept slated to open in Fountain Square later this year. It will be located next to the lobby of the Fifth Third Center at 33 E. Sixth St., Downtown.

This will provide a convenient option for having a healthy and quick meal and even eating in the square.
The menu features seven signature chopped salads. There are standard choices like a Hide & Go Greek or What About Cobb, as well as more fun creations like the Thai One On, with Sriracha shrimp, red cabbage, edamame, carrots, cucumber, green onions, dry roasted peanuts, crispy wontons and a Thai peanut vinaigrette.
You can also create your own with toppings ranging from chickpeas and tangerines to steak, artichokes and fresh mozzarella. The 15 dressings are homemade.
Green District also offers body wraps; each salad and be made into one or you can make your own.
